英文摘要：

Tourism is considered to be the industry with most development potential which can promote the development of the whole region. Currently, the tourism industry plays more and more important role in economic development of Shantou. This article is going to analyse the current status of the development of tourism resources in Shantou. It recognizes the existing problem and provides scientific basis for the sustainable development of tourism resources and theory reference for government decision-making and social and economic development. The paper makes out Shantou＇ s tourism resources distribution map by applying Arc View, to analyse the current status of tourism resources cultivation by charts. Some problems are concluded, such as the characteristics of the tourism resources are not prominent ; the possibility for the tourism transportation to enter the city is poor; the advertising of the tourism is inefficient, the tourist commodities are too simple, etc. and some corresponding strategies for solving these problems are posed.
