From the relationship between the economic development and water utilization,it was studied the relationship between economic development and water resources utilization in Chaoyang City at first.It was indicated that there was an obvious positive correlation,the degree of correlation between industrial and water utilization was higher than that of agriculture.Secondly,it was also studied the influence that economic development imposed on the quality of water resources.It was showed that the average value of the loss of water resources accounted for 2.2 percent of GDP because of economic development.Finally,some specific recommendations were put forward to promote the economic development and rational water utilization in Chaoyang City.
