This paper believes that metadata association is an applicable approach for collection resources aggregation and providing services is the realistic requirement and purpose of collection resources aggregation. Based on the detailed analysis of the feasibility for achieving collection resources aggregation by using metadata, the paper proposes to achieve the faceted semantic association of collection resources through the process of metadata warehouse construction, metadata mapping and metadata association. The paper takes an example to describe the whole process of the proposed method and reveals the possible application of collection resources aggregation through the faced recommendation service of related resources.
