The low-grade metamorphic rocks in southern Dabie Mt.refer to Susong and Zhangbaling Groups.The Susong Group is a sequence of the Yangtze passive continental sediments,which unconformably overlies the crystalline basement of the Yangtze craton-the Dabie complex.The Zhangbaling Group is documented to be the oceanic crust of ancient Dabie Ocean plate,which together with the shallow metamorphic rocks in northern Dabie Mountains fairly consists with the major tectonic elements of a subduction orogen.
