CI-OFDM and CI/MC-CDMA, which combine carrier interferometry with OFDM and multicarrier CDMA system, have become a new hotspot in the wideband wireless communication. By extending previous analysis of PO/ CI-OFDM, this paper reviews on the theory of CI/MC-CDMA and concludes that CI/MC-CDMA has similarity to CI-OFDM in theory. Theoretical analysis shows that CI/MC-CDMA is equivalent to a single carrier system, and it cannot promote the performance of MC-CDMA system by combining with carrier interferometry technology.
