The idea to use first order system least squares in solving second partial differential equations is meaningful, since the effect of the numeric method is very different, though the differential equation is equivalent. The simplest case of the first order elliptic system is Cauchy-Riemann equation. Some difference schemes of this equation is studied in this paper.
