The morphological and histological development of gonads and reproductive pattern were observed in Tarim schizothoracin Schizothorax biddulphi. The development of the ovary and testis was divided into six stages, and the fish spawn from April to June. In a spawning season, not all mature fish spawn, and the spawners had synchronous developmental gonads.
