Exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation are two forms of innovation with different characteristics. The author brings the uncertainty of environment, redundant resources, the characteristics of organizational structure and other contingent influencing factors into an analysis framework, constructs a multi - factor interactive integrative research model, explores from various perspectives the influence of the two forms of innovation on enterprise performance in different matching conditions, advances relevant hypotheses and provides a basic framework for future empirical studies.
