Most of China＇s historical astronomical records have been saved in the Twenty-Five Histories.As a part of the ＂Revision Project of the Twenty-Five Histories＂,we shall check all astronomical records which can be calculated by modern astronomical methods,and try to find the original situation behind the mistaken records.Here we provide a brief introduction to the main points of our plan,the computer software which we developed specially for the plan,some typical types of mistakes in the old records and the relationship to historical research.
