介绍了一种受激布里渊散射(SBS)结合脉冲泵浦的全光纤调Q激光器,获得重复频率可调谐的亚10 ns高功率脉冲。利用瑞利散射(RS)和SBS共同作用自调Q机制,采用光纤干涉环结构与强泵浦抽运,可获得稳定的亚10 ns高功率调Q光脉冲。以脉冲泵浦控制调Q光脉冲产生的重复频率,实现调Q光脉冲输出重复频率的可调谐。实验结果表明:使用3 m高增益掺Er3+光纤,在两只975 nm半导体激光器强泵浦抽运下,可获得脉宽6 ns、峰值功率大于340 W、重复频率0~5 kHz的调Q光脉冲输出。该调Q光纤激光器具有全光纤结构、输出脉冲窄、峰值功率高、重复频率可调谐的特点,可用于分布式光纤传感系统与种子光源。
To obtain high power optical pulse with sub-10 ns duration and tunable repetition frequency,an all-fiber Q-switched fiber laser based on stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) and pulse pumping was presented and experimentally demonstrated.Through Q-switched operating due to the co-operation of Rayleigh scattering(RS) and SBS in fiber,and utilizing fiber interference loop and strong pumping,the stable Q-switched optical pulse was obtained with sub-10 ns duration and high peak power.Furthermore the repetition frequency of output Q-switched optical pulse was tuned by controlling the repetition frequency of pumping pulse.Using 3 m high-gain Er3+ doped fiber and pumped by two laser diodes at 975 nm.The presented Q-switched fibre laser exhibited that the optical pulse duration was as short as 6 ns,the maximum pulse peak power was about 340 W and the repetition frequency could be tuned from 0 Hz to 5 kHz.This fiber laser can be used in the field of distributed fiber optical sensors and seed optical sources.
