研制了一种基于保偏(PM)光纤可饱和吸收体结合光纤光栅Fabry-Perot(FBG F-P)标准具的单频窄线宽光纤激光器。该激光器以高增益掺Er3+光纤(EDF)作为增益介质,采用行波环形腔消除空间烧空效应,并结合FBG F-P标准具选模,实现激光器单频运转。用一段PM EDF作为可饱和吸收体抑制跳模,以获得高效、稳定的1 550.65 nm单频激光输出。在975 nm单模泵浦激光抽运下,当抽运光功率为148 mW时,获得的最大信号光功率为46.3 mW,相应的光-光转换效率为31.3%,斜率效率为32.6%,信噪比(SNR)大于55 dB。使用40km单模光纤(SMF)延迟线,根据延时自外差方法测量得到单频激光器的3 dB光谱线宽约为2.5 kHz。
A single-frequency narrow-linewidth fiber laser is presented,which is based on polarization maintaining(PM) fiber saturable absorber and fiber Bragg grating Fabry-Perot(FBG F-P) etalon.The high-gain Er3+ doped fiber was used as the gain medium,the traveling-wave cavity was selected to eliminate the spatial hole burning effect,and the FBG FP etalon was utilized to select longitudinal laser modes,so the single-frequency operation was achieved.A segment of Er3+-doped PM fiber acts as the saturabel absorber to suppress mode hopping to acquire high-efficiency and stable single frequency laser at 1 550.65 nm.Under 975 nm single-mode laser diode(LD) pump,when the pump power is 148 mW,the output power is 46.3 mW,the corresponding optical-optical efficiency is 31.3%,the slope efficiency is 32.6% and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is greater than 55 dB.The 3 dB linewidth of the fiber laser is about 2.5 kHz,which is measured by the delayed self-heterodyne method with a 40 km single mode fiber.
