硫是钢铁生产中的有害元素之一,精确测定和在线检测熔融金属中的硫含量是钢铁冶金过程中一项至关重要的任务。固体电化学原理是一种测量熔融金属中硫含量的精确方法。然而,到目前为止,还没有找到一种化学性质稳定和离子电导率高的硫化物固体电解质材料,因此,人们将常用的固体电解质材料(如ZrO2基固体电解质和-βAl2O3等)与化学性质相对稳定的硫化物辅助电极相结合进行间接测硫。在一些情况下,无需将固体电解质材料与辅助电极结合,而直接使用-βAl2O3也可用于测硫,辅助电极是在测硫过程中在固体电解质与辅助电极界面原位生成的。简要回顾了这些固体电化学间接测硫所使用的方法和材料。
Sulfur in steel is one of the most important deleterious element,so monitoring sulfur content is important to improve the quality of steel products.The solid state electrochemical principle is a selective and accurate way of measuring sulfur contend in molten metals.However,as of this date,people has not found solid sulfide electrolyte that has excellent chemical stability and high ionic conductivity,and so the strategic combinations of common solid electrolyte(such as ZrO2-based and β-alumina,etc) and sulfide auxiliary electrode have been developed to measure sulfur content indirectly.Under some conditions,it is possible to measure sulfur content using β-alumina without the need for an additional sulfide.Sulfide auxiliary electrode is generated in situ in the process of measurement of sulfur content.The approaches and materials used in the development of sulfur sensor were briefly reviewed in this paper.
