通过临海大田平原河网水动力二维数学模型,分析水系调整前后的流场和水位分布,认为水系骨干河流局部扩宽、分支河网与骨干河网的连通,尤其是在灵江下游钓鱼亭镇附近新增加的钓鱼亭控制闸工程,增加了洪水排出通道,分流了洪水,使得大田河水位下降0.2~0.7 m,表明水系调整有利于平原河网防洪排涝,由于城区河网充分连通,加快了城市河网水体的交换,也有利于城区水环境的改善.
