Cr12MoV is ledeburite type steel with high-carbon and high-chromium, and it has been widely used in the cold working die steel due to its high hardness, good stability, and high flexural strength. By the appropriate surface treatment, its performance can be improved, and the service life can be prolonged. In this paper, the progress and development trends of Nitrocarburizing process of Cr12MoV steel have been introduced, and expect to provide special reference for the researchers.
