The liberalization of finance and the international capital flow, which are most methods to measure the financial openness to depend on, are firstly introduced. Then, the methods to measure the financial openness are classified and analyzed from the aspects of the law ＆ policy and the real capital flow. And the methods to measure the level of financial openness are analyzed and compared. Moreover, the paper analyzes the field to apply, the merit, shortcoming, and the improvable place in those methods details. In conclusion, the basic means to measure the level of financial openness accurately in China are given further.
