Under the background of supply-side structural reform, this paper takes Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration which covers 30 municipalities of Central Plains Economic Zone as an example, analyzing its situation and existing problems： the overall industrial structure softening degree is not high; regional development is unbalanced; economic growth relies too much on the general factors of production and the traditional “troika” ; the industrial wastes emissions proportion is high; the distribution structure is unreasonable, and the income gap tends to expand. Based on these problems, the government should speed up the mutual penetration development between new information technology industry and the traditional industry, improve industrial structure softening degree, and improve the mechanism of the linkage development of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration.
