By means of the extended (G'/G)-expansion method and a variable separation method, a new non-traveling wave solutions of the (2 q-1)-dimensional dispersive long-wave equations are derived with the help of symbol computation software. By selecting appropriately the arbitrary functions in the solutions, special soliton excitations are studied.
