A serious dengue outbreak occurred in the autumn of 2014 in Guangzhou.Based on the epidemic,mathematical models are established.By using mathematical analysis,statistical tool and numerical simulation,the author studies the impact of media intervention on the spreading of dengue fever.The results confirm the favorable role of the media reports.
