The boundary problem of stationary flow for incompressible non-Newtonian fluids in the metering section of a single screw extruder has been investigated. Under the assumption of slow flow, given the unique solvability of the corresponding mathematical model and by proving the function space of the stationary flows, the analysis pro- vides a theoretical basis for further numerical calculations.
