The boundary problem of stationary flow for incompressible non-Newtonian fluids in the metering section of a single screw extruder has been investigated. With the assumption of slow flow and without neglect of convec- tion, the analysis of the solution structure and the uniqueness of the corresponding mathematical model provide the basis for further numerical calculations.
