Smart nano-reactor belongs to the class of functional polymers,when it is stimulated by the external environment which will produce specific response,resulting in the dramatic changes in their structures or physical and chemical properties.Stimulus-responsive polymers can be classified into several categories such as magnetic,pH,temperature,light,and other responsive polymers.We summarize the methods for their synthesis and structural features,a brief description of the mechanism of action of various types of stimuli-responsive functionality.It also describes their potential applications,and the development prospects of these intelligent polymer was also discussed.
