旅游业作为拉动区域经济发展的重要产业，在广东省经济中的地位日益重要。然而由于经济基础不一，资源分布不均，导致广东省各地级市旅游业发展水平严重失衡。本文以2015年《广东统计年鉴》数据为基础，建立科学合理的指标体系，利用主成分分析和聚类分析方法对广东省21个地级市的旅游业发展水平进行综合评价，力图找出各市在发展旅游业方面的优势和劣势，并根据实证分析结果对如何提高旅游业发展水平提出合理性建议。
