The edge district of city is a buffer area between country and city. It has the characteristics of high market degree in using the farmland, intensive using the farmland and frequent move and so on. Now the use of farmland in edge district in our country does not exert its character. However since the style of farmland in buffer area is complicated, much farmland is used at a low efficiency or is wasted. Moreover some farmland is used excessively for the reason of non - agriculture development. Thus the use of farmland this area is full of contradiction. In order to strengthen the use of farmland in edge district, we should stabilize the agriculture production, strengthen the management of layout on farmland, normalize the move of farmland and establish a scientific value system in the edge district of city.
