The effects of different periods of lactation, fetal times and feeding manners on the quality of raw milk of Red steppe were analyzed, and all these factors showed significant effects（P〈0.05）. The dry matter contents of raw milk of Red steppe in feeding bases, during early lactation or in the second parity were higher. By comparing the milk of Red steppe with Holstein cattle, it could be concluded that the quality of the former was better than that of the latter. Therefore, the milk of Red steppe is a kind of high quality milk with high nutritional value.
