Ping Xu was born in Beijing, China, in 1982. She is currently pursuing the master's degree with the School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University. Her research interest is in fiber optic sensing. Fu-Fei Pang received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Liaoning Normal University in 2001 and Ph.D degree in optical engineering from SIOM of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. Now he is a lecturer of the School of Communication Engineering, Shanghai University. His research interests include design and fabrication of novel special fiber, and planar waveguide and their sensing application. Na Chen received the B.S. and the M.S. degrees in electronic engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. After receiving the Ph.D. degree in physics electronics from Southeast University, she joined the Key Laboratory of Special Fiber Optics and Optical Access Networks, Shanghai University. Her current research interests focus on fiber devices for high-speed all-optical communications and sensing system. Zhen-Yi Chen was born in Shanghai, China, in 1959. He received the B. S. degree in physics from Shanghai University of Science and Technology and Ph.D. degree in material science from Shanghai University, China, in 1982 and 2007, respectively. In 1982, he joined in Institute of Fiber Optics of Shanghai University on measurements of fiber-optic parameters and studied special optical fibers, devices, sensors and related theories. He is now a professor with Shanghai University. His current research interests include, but are not restricted to, development and applications of special optical fibers doped semiconductor materials, fiber-optic temperature, refractive-index, ultrasonic, SERS sensors, and so on. Ting-Yun Wang received Ph.D. degree in measurement technology and insmanentation from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1998. Now he is the Director of the Key Laboratory of Special Fiber Optics and Optical Access Networks, Shanghai University. H
