A variation-difference method（VDM） is developed for computation subsonic flow.This method is simple and effective in constructing the relationship between cell nodes by combining the variational principle with the differential formula derived from directional derivative.The method is implemented in computations of the flows over circular cylinder and the NACA0012 airfoil.Numerical results show that VDM has high accuracy in subsonic flow simulation.
