Nematodes （ Pratylenchus sp p .） are considered important disease-causing pathogens for peanut plants. Plant and soil samples around rhizospheres were collected from poorly looking peanut plants in Xingtai County, Hebei Province, China. Nematodes were isolated from the samples for morphological and molecular biological characterizations. The results indicated that the nematodes were identified as P.scribneri Steiners.
