Objective To investigate the correlation between the frequencies of Thl7 cells and CD19 CDldCD5 B cells in peripheral blood of tuberculosis (TB) patients. Methods The frequencies of Thl7 cells and CD19CDldCD5 B cells in the healthy controls, latent tuberculosis infection and the TB patients were detected by flow cytometry assay. Results The frequency of Thl7 cells in patients with active tuberculosis was (3.34 + 1.35)% ,which was significantly lower than that in the healthy donors (HD) (4.60 _+ 1.56%) (q = 6.56,P 〈 0.001) and than that in individuals with latent tuberculosis infection(LTBI) (4.13 1.91)%(q = 2.96,P 〈 0.05), respectively. The proportion of CD19+CDldCD5B cells in TB patients was (28.29 _+ 11.03)%,which was much higher than that in HDs(21.05 10.86)%(q = 3.69,P 〈 0.05) and than that in LTBIs(20.46 9.88)%(q = 3.59,P 〈 0.05); Increasing CD19 CDldCD5 B cells in TB patients inversely correlated with Thl7 response in patients with TB. Conclusion Thl7 response in patients with tuberculosis was suppressived and the suppressive Thl7 response in patients with tuberculosis may be associated with increasing CD19CDldCD5 B cells.
