The crane load spectrums are the basic data for evaluation of fatigue residual life and reliability analysis of crane metal structure. This paper describes the basic methods of data acquisition and statistical analysis of the load-time history as well as preparation method of the load spectrum for the crane. Then the research status and achievement of the domestic and international crane load spectrum is summarized. Finally, the research prospect of crane load spectrum is put forward.
