The mechanisms of prioritizing selection in preview search are the focus of the studies of attention and perception. This paper analyzed visual marking, onset capture and temporal segregation hypothesis based on time course. According to the time course of preview search and related studies, we advanced a non-inhibition mechanism to explain the prioritizing selection in preview search. The mechanisms of different time course were also discussed.
