The Huangjiawan Ni-Mo polymetallie deposit in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, is of the black shale type. The red algae ascospores and their association relationship with various metallic sulphides were discovered by microscope and electron microprobe for the first time, providing a powerful evidence for the biogenetic mineralization of Ni-Mo polymetal- lie ores in the Lower Cambrian black shales. Combining with the results of predecessors' researches, it is considered that the source and enrichment of Ni, Mo and other metallic elements are possibly related to the algal biologic effects.
