The design of Yushu Museum faced a new challenge because of Yushu＇s unique geographical environment and abundant Tibetan culture. Our attitude for this project is respectful, humble, learning and explorative. After having the design commission, we visited the site repeatedly to study the culture, architecture and environmental elements of the ancient town. We hoped to seek and explore the combination of Kangba culture, Tibetan architecture and contemporary public museum building from the aspects of natural scenery, urban fabric, minodty color, residential construction and so on.
