The characteristics and background of rectangular CFT with binding bars as a new type of structural member are introduced.The state-of-the-art of research and application of rectangular CFT with binding bars is summarized.Meanwhile,some of the key problems of the research on rectangular CFT with binding bars are proposed.Finally,the future of rectangular CFT with binding bars is prospected.
