Half-life is a metric to measure literature obsolescence. It is also an important reference standard on measuring the development of a subject. The authors collect the data of computer science from CNKI and classified into several subdisciplines according to the standard of Chinese Library Classification. Through the analysis of the citation data of the computer, we can summarize the characters of literature obsolescence on computer science and take knowledge of the development of computer science.
