英文摘要：

According to the data from management basis investigation of 549 nature reserves in East China, the quantitative evaluation model of management basis of nature reserve was improved, which was applied to assess the status of the management basis of nature reserves in East China. Results showed that the average nature reserve index （NRI） of the nature reserves in East China was 46.35, and above 50% of them had a score less than 50, which illustrates that the general management basis was relatively low. The average score of objective conditions was relatively high, while the staffing and institutional structure, finance and facilities were quite low, indicating that the situation of those aspects could not meet the requirement. As to the existent problems, some countermeasures should be taken, e.g., solving the problems of land property, establishing the institutional structure and staffing, expanding the input resources, and strengthening management of budgets.
