This paper applies the technical sophistication index to the estimate of export sophistication in China＇s manufac- tured goods by using SITC 5-digit trade data, and analyzes the technical structure and evolution trend of China＇s manufac- tured goods during 2001--2010. The result indicates that although the technical structure has been optimized, the gap still remains. It proposes to continuously expand foreign trade, optimize and upgrade the technical structure of China＇s manufac- tured goods export and enhance its ability to resist risks.
