The venture capitalist＇s competency fostering is the fundamental approach to improve the performance of the venture capital firm. Grounded on the knowledge management, this paper sets up a model of venture capitalists＇ learning field which is composed of incentive field, realization field and feedback field. Based on the theory of organization action, it analyzes the function mechanisms of incentive field, realization field and feedback field, discusses their correlations, presents that building the learning field is the most efficient and direct way for the venture capitalists to foster their competencies, and finally gives a brief case study.
