The five different types of reader requirement are gotten by capturing and analyzing the reader＇s reading requirements based on different scenarios. Next, based on the relationships of the reader requirement and the library＇s literature collections in the library, the traditional literature acquisition process are improved continually according to the characteristics of those types of reader requirement, and then three new modes of literature acquisition are obtained and analyzed. It is believed that the literature acquisitions based on the new modes can well meet the three main types of reader requirement respectively, and also, can improve the traditional literature acquisition of university library.
