It is believed that the Chinese language has yielded influence on the word formation of the Zhuang language in Jingxi. The influence is mainly re-flected in enriching the types of single-morpheme words; initiating new types of compound words, such as reduplicated compound words, modification-center-structured modifying compound words, and the noun-quantifier structure of corn-pletive pattern, which are rarely found in other ethnic languages; and borrowing some affixes to enrich the additional compound words in Zhuang Dialect of Jingxi.
