英文摘要：

Selenium is one of the essential micronutrient elements for the human body and has lots of physiological functions. The most important physiological function of Selenium is antitumor, which has been confirmed in many aspects. In recent years, the research progress of selenium on antitumor is rapid. Some selenium-containing antitumor medicine havebeen used in clinic research, which provids a very effective way to treat the tumor and bring wide perspective. Herein, we reviewed the recent research progress of the correlations between selenium and the tumor, the antitumor mechanism of its action, and the toxicology of selenium. The developing prospect of selenium antitumor medicine is discussed as well.
