The development of electrohydrodynamic (EHD) airflow control technology based on plasma was reviewed, focusing on EHD characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge plasma and electrical prosperities of plasma actuators. The physical explanation of flow inducement and the optimization of plasma actuator were summarized as the two emphases in current research. Furthermore, the modeling and simulation of EHD plasma actuator were introduced.
