Both routine and novel techniques used in the reseaech of drug polymorphism are reviewed, including X - ray diffraction, thermal analysis, solid - state NMR, vibrational spectroscopy, microscopy, computational prediction,nuclear quadrupole resonance and terahertz pulsed spectroscopy. Recent advances of these analytical techniques are also discussed.
