FoxM1 belongs to the Forkhead transcription factor family.FoxM1 plays important roles in the control of cellular proliferation,embryonic development,senescence,regeneration,and tumor progression.FoxM1 highly expresses in most of human tumors and is related to multiple oncogenic pathways.FoxM1 may be considered as a novel therapeutic target for cancer treatment due to its functions that correlate with tumors.
