We have introduced briefly the characteristics of data processing of high rate GPS and made some comments on the current state of high rate GPS application in earthquake dynamic motion and focal rupture process. At the same time, the future developments in this field have been presented. It is pointed out that the study on data processing of high rate GPS and related application should be started timely in China
