利用美国台风联合警报中心的best—track热带气旋信息数据集,运用多元线性回归、平衡反馈(EFA)以及广义平衡反馈分析(GEFA)方法,结合EOF,探讨海温异常模之线性作用及其对西北太平洋热带气旋生成频数(TCGN)变化的影响。单个海盆SSTA模的EFA结果显示,TCGN对热带太平洋海表温度异常(SSTA)经向模(TP2)、北太平洋第二模(NP2)、热带印度洋海盆一致模(IOBM)、北大西洋第一模(NAI)及第二模态(NA2)的反馈响应显著。多元回归分析表明,西北太平洋TCGN变化与热带太平洋第一模(TP1)、IOBM、NA1有显著的统计关系。GEFA的结果显示,IOBM和NAI对TCGN变化的强迫作用通过0.1以上的显著性水平检验。GEFA与EFA的差异反映了TP2、NP2和NA2分别受其它海盆的影响明显;GEFA与多元回归结果的差异反映了TP1具有强的海一气相互作用特征,表明GEFA能够鉴别出海洋对大气的强迫作用。
Interactions among sea surface temperature anomaly (SSTA) modes over multiple basins and their impacts on variation of tropical cyclone genesis number (TCGN) over the western North Pacific (WNP) are an- alysed based on data of TC from Joint Typhoon Warning Center using methods of EOF analysis, linear regression of multiple variables, equilibrium feedback analysis (EFA) and general equilibrium feedback analysis (GE- FA). The result using EFA method for only one SSTA mode shows that a significant response of TCGN occurs to the meridional SSTA mode over the tropical Pacific, the second mode over the North Pacific ( NP2), the Indian Ocean basin mode (IOBM), the first (NA1) and second (NA2) modes over the North Atlantic, respectively. There are statistically significant relationships between TCGN variation over the WNP and the Pacific ENSO mode, IOBM and NA1 using the linear regression method of multiple variables. The feedback response of TCGN over the WNP to IOBM and NAI is significant at more than 90% confidence level. The difference between the results from GEFA and EFA reflects that the meridional mode over the tropical Pacific, NP2 and NA2 are signif- icantly affected by other basins. The difference between the results from GEFA and regressions represents that the ENSO mode has a strong atmosphere-ocean interaction and GEFA method is able to identify a forcing of SST to the atmosphere.
