To solve the problems faced in Personalized Information Service（PIS）,such as inaccuracy and poor reliability of acquired users＇ information need,low adaptivity to users,and lack of exploration,etc.,an approach based on context and context-aware is proposed to realize PIS.After the concept of context and context aware is described,the semantic ontology based method for representing context is explored,and the core problems of context awareness are studied,such as identifying and acquiring context,updating and synthesizing context.Based on these,the architecture for context aware PIS is put forward,and an example is given for illustrating the application of such an architecture.
