The status of stubble cleaners and blades, especially for maize, was introduced. The structure, performance, and characteristics of a few types of stubble cleaners and blades widely used in China were analyzed and discussed. On the basis of analyses and discussion, the problems of high-energy consumption of stubble cleaners and blades were put forward. It is summarized that the importance to reduce energy consumption of stubble cleaners, to improve abrasion of stubble blades, and to combine farming machine with agricultural progress in the field.
