There are few analysis on the impact of bidding modes in electricity auction market on both middle- and small-scale generation companies and power source structure optimization in existing literatures, and there are some discrepancy in electricity market operation results under monopolistic competition market structure and complete competition market structure. For this reason, the authors construct a system dynamics model for electricity market with market power module, and its simulation results show that the uniform cleaning mode based on marginal cost is favorable to the development of middle- and small-scale generation companies whereas the pay as bid （PAB） mode is favorable to the optimization of power resource structure.
