Two complexes with N-donor ligands, [ Zn ( L1 ) C12 In ( 1 ) and [ Zn2 ( L2)2 C14 ], (2) ( L1 = 1,4-bis ( pyrazole-1 -ylmethyl) benzene, L2 = 4,4'-bis ( pyrazole-1 -ylmethyl) biphenyl), have been syn- thesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TGA and X-ray single crystal diffrac- tion. Complex 1 shows a zigzag chain, while complex 2 shows a helical chain, both are obtained by L1 or L2 reacting with zinc ions. Furthermore, in complexes 1 and 2, the C-H...C1 hydrogen bonds link these chains to form two-dimensional supramolecular sheets. In addition, the photoluminescent properties of complexes 1 and 2 were investigated.
