Pseudomonas sp. and Arthrobacter sp. were two dominant genera in nicotine - degrading microorganism. Studies of nicotine degrading pathway, and genetic structures on Arthrobacter were rather distinct, while it' s short of com- pleteness on Pseudomonas. The latest knowledge on the species of this genus, metabolism pathway, degradation genes and enzymes of Pseudomonas was proposed.
